“...way too much fun”

SEE YOU IN 2022!

Saxafras is a collaboration between Gordon Belsher and his son-in-law Todd MacLean providing “way too much fun” for over a decade whenever they get to play together.  They have both garnered several music awards and nominations during their careers, and audiences have been laughing, singing along, and marveling at the duo’s musical prowess and antics.

Their repertoire includes chestnuts like ‘Summertime’,  and ‘Fly Me to the Moon’, as well as upbeat versions of pop hits like ‘Baker Street’ and Lennie Gallant’s ‘Open Window’.  For a twist on traditional fiddle tunes, you have to hear Todd’s velvet saxophone renditions of ‘Neil Gow’s Lament’ and ‘Ashokan Farewell’.  With Saxafras, audiences have enthusiastically agreed that this “unplugged” approach to contemporary folk songs, classic jazz standards, Celtic gems, and rock ‘n roll, using a sax, is a breath of fresh air.

Doors open at 7:00, show starts at 7:30.
